The Sitter is a 2011 comedy film directed by David Gordon Green and produced by Michael De Luca. The Sitter film tells the story about a male student who, after being suspended from college, is lured into a babysitting gig for which he is woefully unprepared. The Sitter film is a Michael De Luca Productions and 20th Century Fox joint venture, distributed by 20th Century Fox. The Sitter film was originally scheduled to be released in theaters on August 5, 2011, but was pushed back to December 9, 2011.

Noah, is not your typical entertain-the-kids-no-matter-how-boring-it-is kind of sitter. He's reluctant to take a sitting gig; he'd rather, well, be doing anything else, especially if it involves slacking. When Noah is watching the neighbor's kid he gets a booty call from his girlfriend in the city. To hook up with her, Noah takes to the streets, but his urban adventure spins out of control as he finds himself on the run from a maniacal drug lord.

After having a disagreement with his mother, he's lured into taking a babysitting job caring for the unruly kids of Mrs. Pedulla: her neurotic son Slater (Max Records), party-loving wild child Blithe (Landry Bender) and the pyromaniac adopted son Rodrigo (Kevin Hernandez). Soon Noah is invited to a party to have sexual intercourse with his supposed girlfriend Marisa (Ari Graynor), who up to that point had used him only for oral sex. She agrees to have sex with him only if he brings her drugs to the party.

Set in 1930s Paris, an orphan who lives in the walls of a train station is wrapped up in a mystery involving his late father and an automaton.

Hugo (2011) <Storyline>:

Hugo is an orphan boy living in the walls of a train station in 1930s Paris. He learned to fix clocks and other gadgets from his father and uncle which he puts to use keeping the train station clocks running. The only thing that he has left that connects him to his dead father is an automaton (mechanical man) that doesn't work without a special key which Hugo needs to find to unlock the secret he believes it contains. On his adventures, he meets with a shopkeeper, George Melies, who works in the train station and his adventure-seeking god-daughter. Hugo finds that they have a surprising connection to his father and the automaton, and he discovers it unlocks some memories the old man has buried inside regarding his past.

 

Hugo (2011) <Plot>: In 1931, Hugo Cabret (Asa Butterfield), a 12-year-old boy, lives with his widowed father (Jude Law), a master clockmaker in Paris. Hugo's father takes him to see films and, tells Hugo that his favourite film is Voyage to the Moon, the first film he ever saw. Hugo's father dies in a museum fire on one night, and Hugo is taken away by his uncle Claude (Ray Winstone), an alcoholic watchmaker who is responsible for maintaining the clocks in the railway station Gare Montparnasse. His uncle teaches him to take care of the clocks and then disappears. He is later discovered to have drowned in the River Seine.Hugo lives between the walls of the station, maintaining the clocks, stealing food, avoiding the vigilant Station Inspector (Sacha Baron Cohen), and working on his father's most ambitious project: repairing a broken automaton, a mechanical man who is supposed to write with a pen.
