The Sitter is a 2011 comedy film directed by David Gordon Green and produced by Michael De Luca. The Sitter film tells the story about a male student who, after being suspended from college, is lured into a babysitting gig for which he is woefully unprepared. The Sitter film is a Michael De Luca Productions and 20th Century Fox joint venture, distributed by 20th Century Fox. The Sitter film was originally scheduled to be released in theaters on August 5, 2011, but was pushed back to December 9, 2011.

Noah, is not your typical entertain-the-kids-no-matter-how-boring-it-is kind of sitter. He's reluctant to take a sitting gig; he'd rather, well, be doing anything else, especially if it involves slacking. When Noah is watching the neighbor's kid he gets a booty call from his girlfriend in the city. To hook up with her, Noah takes to the streets, but his urban adventure spins out of control as he finds himself on the run from a maniacal drug lord.

Noah (Jonah Hill) is a college student who has been suspended and now lives with his mom. After having a disagreement with his mother, he's lured into taking a babysitting job caring for the unruly kids of Mrs. Pedulla: her neurotic son Slater (Max Records), party-loving wild child Blithe (Landry Bender) and the pyromaniac adopted son Rodrigo (Kevin Hernandez). Soon Noah is invited to a party to have sexual intercourse with his supposed girlfriend Marisa (Ari Graynor), who up to that point had used him only for oral sex. She agrees to have sex with him only if he brings her drugs to the party.
